Your book is helping me move along with writing every day. Because I love to read about food and wine, sometimes I get prompted by someone's else's story that jars a relative memory for me. I find it so easy to write about that memory. Most of the time tho, I think no one would really like to read this, would they??
Yeah, that's a question many of us ask. But it's not a very helpful one! You need a question that helps you make it interesting for people to read. That's what editing is for. I wrote about editing tips here: https://diannej.com/2014/7-edits-that-will-improve-your-blog-post/
I recently picked up a copy of Will Wrote for Food as my favorite things in life include cooking, writing, and reading ( about food or not!). Thank you for the writing prompts!
Hey…quick reply just to say I likes the range of this post. I found you via @KitchenBeard and his stack. And to say Elizabeth David is not forgotten here. I still have my mother’s editions and still use them. She’s an imperious writer, isn’t she. I always feel she’s watching me a little critically de haut en bas. But, I also feel she knows so deeply and really loves both the whole cooking thing and the writing of it. For me, for everyone I guess, with cookery books, the writing is as valuable as the recipes.
You inspire me. Thank you.
Thank you Christy.

Oh that's wonderful to read. Thank you.

I have been savoring “Will Write for Food” for a few months now--chock full of info, tips and, yes, those end-of-chapter prompts. Highly recommend!
Wonderful, Amie. Thank you.

You’re welcome, Shanna. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
Thank you for the prompts in writing. Sometimes I'm not sure what to write about or what my 'voice' is. I look forward to reading your book!
Keep going, Laura. Your voice and topics will emerge.
OOh, I had a big goal-setting, business polishing week in my world, I'm excited to try these Monday.
They are quite thought provoking. Thanks Sarah.

Well hello, and welcome! Yes, you're talking to another Elizabeth David fan here. I hope she's not being gradually forgotten.
These writing prompts are very insightful. It's easy to stick to what you're used to. Addressing the fear of writing can lead to growth.
