I just love the Creamy potato fennel soup. Her recipes are tasty and they work. I've been following her for a long time and would absolutely love to read her memoir. Thanks for the giveaway!

Diane, how is it you never age? I love all of Ina’s books. She gives those of us who are not trained chefs the courage to put ourselves out there as professionals. I have adapted so many of her recipes in my catering business. The most helpful has been her book on preparing foods ahead of time. I have made her 4 hr lamb so many times for events.

I still enjoy reading all your writings and appreciate your generosity in techniques and tips. I still refer to your original “Will write for Food”. You have come a long way from our IACP days some 20 or more years ago. 💕 keep writing and inspirong us all.

I don’t know which of Ina Garten’s books or recipes is my favorite: in our library of over 1300 cookbooks, none are by her! But our next-door neighbor likes to entertain and swears by Barefoot Contessa recipes for her parties, so I’ve undoubtedly had the pleasure of eating some. This sounds like a book I’d read, and then pass along to her to also enjoy.

I follow her on IG and am fascinated by her life story. Her recipes seem simple and look delicious. I also very much enjoyed reading J.R. Moehringer’s article in the NYT. Thank you for sharing it.

I’ve been making Ina’s French apple tart forever. Easy, not too sweet, and like all her recipes, never fails.

I’m going to continue reading this. But I had to put it down at dinner with Harold McGee.

Ina taught me how to cook when I was 22 and in my first apartment as an adult, watching Food Network (around 2003). She made it feel approachable, classic and I credit her with my first roasted chicken!

I'm listening to (and loving) the audiobook of her memoir. Her voice is so soothing. My favorite Ina recipe has to be her roast chicken — a classic!

Ina’s Creamy Hummus, Warm French Lentils, and Roasted Pear and Apple Sauce are on repeat in my kitchen. I also make her Shortbread Hearts & Linzer Cookies recipe every December, with reliably delicious results. I have many of her cookbooks and can’t wait to read her memoir for more of the backstory.
